June 29, 2018: Delivering the opening keynote address at the national conference of FIRST (Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types) in Nashville, Tenn.
March 2018: Signing copies of Sonata at the U of A bookstore tent at the 2018 Tucson Festival of Books, the third-largest book festival in the country!
March 2018: With author and teacher extraordinaire Ron Hansen (The Kid, Atticus, Mariette in Ecstasy, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) at the Masters Workshops following the Tucson Festival of Books. An early, adept, and encouraging set of eyes on my novel-in-progress!
November 2017: With "American Ninja Warrior" host and "Celebrity Apprentice" champion Matt Iseman--who also has rheumatoid arthritis--at the 2017 Arthritis Foundation Conference of Champions, Phoenix, AZ.
November 2017: With Miss Minnesota, Brianna Drevlow, an advocate for awareness of pediatric autoimmune disease (including Juvenile Arthritis), and our mothers at the 2017 Arthritis Foundation Conference of Champions. Brianna also graced us with her incredible talent at the piano. Pianists, pianists, everywhere!
November 2017: Attending and serving on a panel at the inaugural C.D. Wright Women Writer's Conference, Conway, Arkansas. Sporting my Ryan Gosling leggings (my favorite garment of all time?).
