Andrea helped me get all my thoughts on the page (no matter how reluctant, self-conscious, or stuck I am / was). I still use your strategy of being “conversational” with myself as I write everything from essays to emails and it helps me immensely.
— George, marine biology student at UCSD
Andrea is the best teacher I’ve ever had! She helped me win multiple national Scholastic awards, gain publication in a dozen literary journals, and gain acceptance to multiple prestigious writing programs. I credit her teaching to helping me become a better college essay writer as well, which eventually landed me at Yale, my dream school. But besides all these technical “wins,” she’s taught me a more important lesson: to write authentically. Andrea helped me harness my voice and this power has helped peers alongside me find a newfound love for a writing. Anyone who works with her will progress dramatically as both a writer and human being.
— Yash W., Yale class of 2026
Andrea’s feedback and teaching was always constructive and personalized. She had a skill for identifying the strengths in each student’s work while gently pointing out areas for improvement. This balanced approach boosted my confidence while motivating me to keep refining my skills. By the end of the year, I felt I had grown tremendously as a writer.
— Katherine, business sustainability/business marketing student at ASU
Andrea instilled in me a great sense of creativity, which has informed both my writing and critical thinking. Working with her, I felt Inspired, supported, playful, engaged, piqued, intrigued, invested, and drawn out.
— Leah, lawyer and purse-maker, Los Angeles
